I’m another one from He-Man.org. This is a brief description of my story.
Like a lot of people, I got back into it around the year 2000. I was pretty hardcore about it for quite a while. It was a major hobby of mine. I was single at the time. I then got married and stayed into it through the beginnings of Classics. Eventually, kids and family life took over. While Masters of the Universe has always been part of me and always will be, my interest started to wain. In some ways, I felt like I outgrew it a second time. These days, I live my fandom through my 13 year old son, mostly. He’s a huge Origins fan and has collected almost all of it. We talk Masters of the Universe regularly. I haven’t actively collected in a while. I still have everything I had as a kid and everything I’ve bought since. I remember buying vintage MOC figures on eBay for around $30 each. Now, all those figures are going for way more than that. I wish I would have bought everything I could have gotten my hands on back then. I remember when a MOC He-Man was going for about $350 and I thought that was outrageous. I could kick myself for not buying one now. Since early Classics, I’ve only bought the original Origins He-Man and Skeletor. My son bought me the 40th anniversary He-Man.
Great to see you here, He-Man! It's awesome that you get to share MOTU with your son!
